Our mission is to serve as a catalyst for positive change in the lives of low-income Black individuals and families. We strive to meet their basic needs, support their personal and professional growth, and create a more equitable and just society.

\r\nc. To promote health by providing individuals with mental health conditions with access to mental health related counselling, information, and group support programs.
\r\nd. To advance education by providing employment-related training to individuals underemployed or experiencing poverty.
\r\ne. To advance education by providing tutoring and mentorship programs to youth.
\r\nf. To advance education by providing workshops, presentations, and events on the history, languages, arts, literature, religions, and customs of Africa to the public.
\r\ng. To do all such things that are incidental or ancillary to the attainment of the above charitable purposes.

\n\nThe African-Canadian Association of Waterloo Region & Area strive, with unity of purpose and single voice, advocate, educate and promote issues of mutual benefit to people of African decent living in the Waterloo Region & Area. We are committed to bring African communities together through capacity building and self-empowerment to promote the general well-being of African descendants who live in the area. The Association with other relevant groups, agencies and the larger community will advocate maintaining acceptance, respect and better access of community resources for Africans in the region through networking, social support, increasing awareness and appropriate programmatic interventions.
