As the survival rates improve, additional resources that support a woman’s Quality of Life (“QOL”) after breast cancer are required to assist women with the various issues that arise during and after treatment.
\r\nEvery person has a fundamental right to be safe at work. AfterMeToo works to protect this right by creating vital resources for workers and advocating for zero tolerance toward workplace sexual harassment and sexual violence. Our organization aims to empower workers and transform workplace culture, across sectors, to ensure reporting is encouraged, legal information is accessible, and robust supports are available. We understand that inequality, marginalization, and language barriers, create conditions that perpetuate sexual harassment and violence in the workplace.
\r\nBy leveraging information technology to improve access to justice—with projects like Rosa, imagining new and innovative systems, challenging outdated employment policies and breaking down the walls that make it difficult to find help—especially for the most vulnerable workers—we intend to generate a more empowered workforce, where leaders are held accountable and workers’ rights are protected. Our mission is concrete change. No exceptions.

\r\nThe festival was co-founded by Ryan Turner and Stephanie Domet, and in the fall of 2019 its inaugural edition (a four-day festival across six venues with a combination of readings, conversations, panel discussions, workshops, and celebratory events) featured twenty writers from across Canada, the United States, and abroad.
\r\n​In 2020 and 2021, due to COVID-19, the festival went online and presented a similar slate of writers, including New York Times bestselling author Roxane Gay and Booker-nominated novelist Avni Doshi. The festival also hosted widely acclaimed Canadian authors such as Lawrence Hill, Katherena Vermette, Souvankham Thammavongsa, and Sheila Heti.
\r\n​AfterWords 2021 also marked the festival's third year in a row partnering with CBC Radio, which broadcasted festival events, like Shelagh Rogers' conversation with author and comedian Mark Critch, to a national audience. Additionally, 2021 included the festival’s expansion to YA programming and the creation of the annual AfterWords Virtual Writers’ Conference. The 2022 conference and festival happen September 24 to October 2 and feature Jesse Wente, Jody Raybould-Wilson, Kim Stanley Robinson, Amanda Parris, Lawrence Hill, Alexander MacLeod, Chelene Knight, Catherine Bush, and others.
\r\nAfterWords Festival activities happen in Mi'kma'ki, on unceded and unsurrendered Mi'kmaw territory.

\r\nFounded in 2011 Agriculture for Life (Ag for Life) is a charitable organization that seeks to foster a deeper appreciation and understanding of the value of the agriculture sector to our health and to our future. We accomplish our mission through the development and delivery of impactful educational programs and awareness raising activities. Through these efforts, we envision healthier communities, a sustainable and safe agriculture sector and a world that has a stable and healthy food supply.
\r\nIt has been said that Canada should be a world food superpower leading the way in overcoming problems related to food production and land management, including health and nutrition, land use planning and natural resource conservation. In a rapidly changing world, with an ever growing population, the need for sustainable agriculture is imperative.
