Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC) is an international development organization and registered charity. We help protect people from malaria.

We fund anti-malaria nets, specifically long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs), and work with distribution partners to ensure they are used. We track and report on net use and malaria case data.

\r\n

Important note: We strongly prefer one-off or monthly donations to be made directly on the AMF website (www.againstmalaria.com) as this minimizes fees and admin for us. If that is an option for you, we'd love you to consider it. We work with Canada Helps primarily to provide a mechanism for donors to make stock donations.

Founded in 2010, Against the Grain Theatre (AtG) is a multi-award-winning Canadian experimental opera company dedicated to creating boundary-breaking, genre-defying vocal works for live performance and film, with an emphasis on innovative storytelling and memorable artistic experiences. AtG is the creator of the internationally acclaimed film Messiah/Complex and the ongoing Opera Pub series. AtG's founding Artistic Director, Joel Ivany, championed the company's artistic works until 2023. AtG is now in its Second Act under new Artistic Leadership. As of October 2024, Royce Vavrek is AtG's second only Artistic Director.
