LONDON PROUDThe Grand’s commitment to developing, premiering and showcasing new work for London Ontario audiences has been on an upward trajectory since the COMPASS program was announced just two short years ago. Since that time, the Grand has:

Commissioned 5 new works, and staged The World Premiere of Silence: Mabel & Alexander Graham Bell that went on to open the 50th season of the NAC in Ottawa

YOUTH PROGRAMMING

\r\n

The Grand's internationally recognized High School Project is a one of a kind program in North America, providing unparalleled opportunities for mentorship and training in professional musical theatre for over 70 high students each year.

\r\n

The award-winning 100 Schools program brought a full scale professional  production to over 30,000 elementary school aged children in their home schools - at no cost.

\r\n

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT & APPRENTICESHIPS

\r\n

The Grand also supports professional development of artists through apprenticeships in areas of production, wardrobe, props and administration.

The Galt Historic Railway Park collects, preserves, restores, exhibits and interprets artifacts that represent the history and social impact of the “steam” and “coal” eras in southern Alberta, with emphasis on the Galt Railway System (1885 – 1912) and the 1890 International Train Station from Coutts, Northwest Territories / Sweetgrass, Montana.

The Great Canadian Plains Railway Society oversees the Railway Park.

\n

Funding comes from membership fees, museum admissions, grants, and casinos. The Society is a registered charity with CRA and the Province of Alberta.

\n

Donations of cash, artifacts, photographs, and printed materials are welcome and will be recognized by a tax receipt.

\n

Sponsorships of restoration projects are also encouraged.  If you are interested in getting involved in a project, please contact us for more information!

Interested in becoming a member? The GCPRS is always interested in welcoming new members.  Every member is encouraged to participate in the activities of the Society, including the operation of the Railway Park.

La Great Canadian Plains Railway Society supervise le Parc ferroviaire.

Le financement provient des cotisations des membres, des droits d'entrée aux musées, des subventions et des casinos. La Société est un organisme de bienfaisance enregistré auprès de l'ARC et de la province de l'Alberta.

Les dons en espèces, en artefacts, en photographies et en documents imprimés sont les bienvenus et donneront lieu à un reçu fiscal.

GCF works exclusively with Christian ministries and projects in a dynamic cooperative relationship. The Great Commission Foundation (GCF) is a team of skilled administrative and accounting personnel dedicated to using their talents and expertise to enable people to follow God’s calling to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.
