Giants’ players are given the opportunity to play and be a part of a hockey team regardless of disability, gender or even their ability to skate. This team endeavours to give a sense of community involvement to persons who in the past only been able to watch from the sidelines. The experience gives the players a chance to form close & important friendships with their peers and permits them to develop self-esteem & sportsmanship that would not have otherwise been possible. Our players are able to develop at their own rate with the help of a very dedicated group of volunteer coaches that emphasize fun while learning. We rely primarily on donations to keep the team operating & all funds go directly to the program; our coaches, executive, and organizers are volunteers and donate their time for the good of the players.

\nBorn from the Out fo the Cold movement The Guesthouse Shelter seeks to reduce the risks of homelessness by providing good meals, emergency shelter, community gathering space, and related essential services to the homeless and vulnerably housed. Since November 2012, we have welcomed over 700 individuals to our site, providing over 50,000 meals and 8,000 nights of lodging. Additional supports include laundry, shower, toiletries and connections to partner agencies. Your gift to The Guesthouse Shelter supports ongoing operations and maintenance. Currently we are raising capital to complete necessary renovations to relocate our services to a permanent safe location.

\nAs a registered charity funded entirely by donors, the Guild supports Canada’s senior armoured regiment and the Regimental Family in their time of need.
\nThe vision of the Guild articulates three distinct objectives: Quality of Life, History/Heritage, and Awareness. These three “thrusts” are the focus of our funded projects and programs.
\nThe Guild recognizes the special sacrifices of our women & men in uniform (past and present) and the hardships of military service by meeting a humanitarian need beyond that normally provided by the Government of Canada. Additionally, the Guild promotes family unity and preserves the artifacts & lineage of Canada’s oldest, continuously serving Regiment.
