\nAll donations to the Foundation are endowed. Endowment funds are invested in perpetuity, with a portion of the annual interest generated disbursed to support YMCA initiatives and programs. These funds provide the Y with a steady, reliable source of annual funding that supports the Y’s ability to plan, innovate, and meet the ongoing (and often changing) needs of our communities. The balance of the endowment fund's income is reinvested to protect the endowment fund against inflation.
\nThe YMCA of Northern Alberta Board of the Foundation and the Foundation's Investment Committee maintain oversight of the investment policy and the endowment funds' performance. Funds are invested following prudent investment guidelines.
\nDonors to the Foundation can feel confident knowing their contributions are thoughtfully invested and diligently managed.

\r\nThe YMCA of Southeastern Alberta offers various services within the community, including:
\r\n- Downtown Branch - recreation centre with squash courts, rock climbing wall, gymnasium, weight and cardio conditioning areas, swimming pool, group fitness classes, personal training, child minding, summer day camp, and a full slate of child and youth programs
\r\n- South Ridge branch - recreation centre with 4 gymnasiums, weight and cardio conditioning areas, walking track, group fitness classes, personal training, child minding, summer day camp, and a full slate of child and youth programs
\r\n- 2 Licensed Child Development Centres (infant to 5)
\r\n- 11 Licensed Before and After School Care Programs (kinder to grade 6)
\r\n- Licensed Community Day Camps for PD Days, School Breaks, and Summer Holidays (kinder to grade 6)
\r\n- 2 Employment Centres (Medicine Hat and Brooks)
\r\n- Community Programs (Alternative Suspension, YMCA Parent, Community Helpers, etc.)
\r\nThe YMCA believes everyone should be able to access its programs and services, regardless of financial circumstances. We provide membership and day camp subsidies to anyone who needs help. This initiative is funded by the generous donations made by our community throughout the year.
