ADOPTION
Three times a year (November, March, June) the Council hosts Special Needs Adoption Days to bring together approved prospective adopting parent(s) with special needs children available for adoption.

EDUCATION
Amanda's Gift is a bursary program established to provide financial assistance to former youth in care in Nova Scotia, ages 16-28, who wish to pursue education/career development opportunities.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
The Youth Achievement Awards recognizes the achievements of youth in care of child welfare in Nova Scotia. This annual awards luncheon honours those who have shown outstanding perseverance in the face of life challenges.

Aspirations is a proposed voluntary transitional support program designed for youth in care who aspire to post-secondary education. Aspirations is intended to assist young people to achieve a sustainable pathway to self-sufficiency and personal well-being through sustained support during career visioning or post-secondary education.
