The HWHB program invests in the health of pregnant women and their young children by increasing access to primary health care providers, healthy and culturally appropriate food as well as nutritional education. The HWHB program has been running successfully for over 16 years. Over the past 8 years, more than 1,500 mothers and children have been assisted through the program.

The Healthy Women Healthy Babies Program:
• improves maternal and infant health
• reduces the incidence of low birth weights
• promotes and supports breastfeeding and increases the health of children
• strengthens community support for pregnant women
• provides low-income participants with food vouchers to supplement their weekly groceries with healthy food items

Your donation will assist pregnant women, mothers and their babies to have a healthy diet in the most important formative months prior to birth and within the first year of life.
