The Hands On Summer Camp Society was founded in 1991. and runs two non-profit educational ventures: Elizabeth Buckley School (EBS) and the Hands on Summer Camp. EBS is a non-denominational, inclusive K-6 independent school using the STEaM curriculum in Victoria, BC. STEaM incorporates science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics in problem-based learning strategies to help prepare our students to be technologically adept and digitally fluent global citizens. We also work to be active participants in our local community, teach environmental stewardship and practice true educational inclusion.

Hands on Summer Camp offers STEaM-oriented physically and academically challenging day camps for children in K-6 throughout the summer months. Because we are a non-profit, we are able to keep the cost of the camp competitive. As well, the Camp Director organizes after-school ECO Club activities twice a week for EBS students.
