For people experiencing homelessness, COVID-19 is a matter of life or death. Many already have compromised immune systems and pre-existing health conditions. But without a home and a sink, protective practices like social distancing, self-isolation, and repeated hand-washing are nearly impossible. A widespread outbreak could result in mass devastation
Parents of low-income families are now scrambling to put food on the tables. They’re stunned that programs they rely on to feed their kids are scaled back or indefinitely closed. Resources are stretching as thin as possible. Needs are urgent, and supplies are scarce.
