VETS Canada is registered Canadian charity with an aim to provide immediate and on-the-ground support to Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP veterans who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, or in crisis.
We help veterans through outreach activities and by providing financial and peer support as needed. Our national network of hundreds of volunteers means we have boots on the ground across Canada, looking for and assisting homeless and in-crisis veterans.
Although we are under contract to Veterans Affairs Canada as their service providers in the field of homeless and in-crisis Veterans outreach, the federal funding we receive does not meet the rising demand for our services. As such, we are reliant on the kindness and generosity of donors. We firmly believe that small change means big change when it comes to supporting Veterans who have found themselves in precarious situations.
For as little as a dollar a day your donation can help us tackle this problem. To the average Canadian a dollar a day represents a cup of coffee a day but to a Veteran in crisis it can provide hope and it can truly mean a new beginning.
Please help us by donating a dollar a day because “small change means big change.”
