We asking you to support the cause that affects everybody and can have a huge impact on our health and especially that of future generations. It is climate change.
The complexity of health issuers associated with climate health is overwhelming. Today, we're seeing diseases that we never used to see, like Lyme disease. Others include a longer and more severe allergy season, asthma and other breathing complications resulting from more frequent wildfire seasons, and more widespread cases of dehydration and even death from heat waves.
The good news is that climate adaptation and mitigation solutions can bring additional health benefits. For example, by investing in public transit, cycling and walking, which increase physical activity, we can save lives, reduce chronic diseases and healthcare costs, while fighting climate change.
That’s why we are asking you to endorse our Call to Action on Climate Change and Health and donate to the CAPE Foundation today to help us continue our work doing research and educating Canadians about climate change health issues and solutions.
