The Dodoma Technical Institute (DTI) is a non-profit vocational school, established to enable students to fully participate in the economy of Tanzania and provide security for their own futures and that of their families. It provides local youth with market-driven technical skills and training, that will enable them to secure steady employment in Tanzania and to become productive members of their community. It costs $200 for one year for a young person to take the Tailoring course. The Masonry course costs $350 for a year of training.
The FTLOA Society has supported this project since its inception; providing funding for the first 4-classroom building, permits, water, roads, a solar system and furnishing and equipment for the two programs. There is much that still needs to be done, including the addition of new programs and provision for bursaries and accommodation for impoverished students unable to attend through lack of transport or a place to live.
Be assured that 100% of your donation will go directly to DTI to assist a young person to get a good secondary education. You are opening a door that may not otherwise open for them. Thank you for your help!!
