The COVID-19 Community Response Fund is intended to address urgent and emerging community needs in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly for vulnerable populations.
This pandemic disproportionately impacts certain populations and our goal is to raise funds for programs and services that will directly benefit these individuals.
“This is a difficult time for everyone and we know those who are already marginalized in our community will be disproportionately impacted. We want every citizen in Waterloo Region and the organizations doing crucial work on the ground to know that we’re here to support them.” – Joan Fisk, CEO, United Way Waterloo Region Communities.
By giving to the COVID-19 Community Response Fund, you can provide support for frontline organizations, particularly those that aren’t always visible in our community but continue to provide critical support for the most vulnerable members in Waterloo Region.
HOW WILL FUNDS BE DISBURSED?
The funds collected will stay here in Waterloo Region and go directly to organizations requiring more support at this time. United Way is working directly with our community partners to understand the needs and ensure help is directed where it is most needed.
We recognize many people in our community are going through financial uncertainty right now and are grateful for the support this fund has already received. By giving to the COVID-19 Community Response Fund, you provide support for frontline organizations that continue to provide critical support for those who need it most.
