Walk virtually in honour of a loved one and raise funds for our community from now until May 31st!
Airdrie and District Hospice Society presents our first ever VIRTUAL Hike for Hospice. The Virtual Hike for Hospice event is an opportunity to come together virtually, anytime, and anywhere (indoors) or (outdoors) to raise money to help provide compassionate, quality care for people with life-limiting illness and grief support for our community. Our Hike for Hospice is an online fundraising initiative that allows people to register and hold their own symbolic ‘walk’ while still fundraising for an important cause.
By participating in our Virtual Hike for Hospice, you will be able to stay active, healthy, and safe. You can do this in the comfort of your home or while practicing physical distancing according to provincial and federal regulations while being a part of a fun activity! At home you can hop on your elliptical, treadmill or stationary bike… run up and down those stairs…or get in your steps during your favorite YouTube workout! Get creative! You choose when and how you ‘walk’ while joining hundreds of Canadians coming together to say we are #HikingForHospice2020!
On Saturday May 9th, we will have a virtual celebration starting at 9:00 am to show our appreciation for your support, participation, and fundraising efforts! Airdrie and District Hospice Society will be streaming on YouTube Live to interact with you, thank our participants and volunteers and announce the up-to-date total!
