Scotty is everything you'd expect in a five-week-old kitten. He's curious, playful, and cute; but, he's already battling a serious health issue.
On July 3rd, the ACR feral/stray line received a call from a concerned homeowner. They had found a young street kitten with such severe eye infections that one of his eyes had ruptured and the other was at significant risk of having the same fate.
Within hours, a volunteer had picked Scotty up and he was under the care of an ACR vet partner. Treatment to save the better eye was begun immediately and has been successful! Treatment of the ruptured eye is ongoing, and he may need extensive surgery to remove it if there is no significant improvement soon.
For his first night inside, the sweet kitten was taken home by one of the veterinarian technicians, who wanted to make sure that Scotty's eyedrops were administered on time and correctly. Since then, he has moved into a loving foster home with another incredible vet-savvy foster, and seems as content as he can be, helped along by pain medication and antibiotic drops.
Can you help us help Scotty continue his eye treatment?
