Catholic School Initiative: Frassati Academy

We are pleased to announce the anticipated opening of Frassati Academy in September 2025 for the 2025/2026 school year.

Frassati Academy will support children in dynamically living their Catholic faith while also providing academic excellence.

This newly founded Catholic elementary school will be located at the Campbell Centre of the St. Agnes site of Good Shepherd Parish in Halifax.

The school takes Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati as its patron. Frassati was a good-humoured Italian youth who was an avid athlete as well as a devotee of both the Eucharist and Our Lady. In the midst of a prestigious and affluent upbringing, our school’s patron remained humble and was deeply committed to a life of charity in service of those in need. He died at the age of 24 of polio, likely contracted from those he aided. Frassati will be canonized in 2025, the centenary of his death.

We would appreciate the chance to thank you for your support and keep you informed on the school's progress. By making a donation, you consent to share information about your donation with the school organizers.
