College students continue to struggle with their mental health, and post-secondary institutions across Canada continue to struggle with the growing demands for services. The number one thing we care about at Art With Impact is mental wellness for young people. We work toward this goal through arts-based workshops on college and university campuses. Students these days have a LOT on their plates. Not only do they have their coursework, their jobs, their relationships, and their families to manage, but they have increasing levels of stress around financial issues, the political landscape, and the increasingly dire environmental climate. They need support, and that's what we provide!
We offer two core campus workshops:
Movies for Mental Health - harnesses winning short films to engage with young people on the vital topic of mental health, inspiring and empowering them to tell their own stories and access resources available to them.
Our Bodies, Our Minds - an embodied, active two-hour workshop on college and university campuses, exploring the mental health impacts that sexual violence can have on survivors and communities.
