Evan's Ride for Autism 2018
When Evan Sheldrake was 2 years old, his parents were told he would never be able to master a complex activity like riding a bicycle. At the age of 12, he defied the odds when the training wheels came off his bike. To celebrate the support, determination and love behind this accomplishment, Evan’s father envisioned Evan’s Ride to raise funds for autism awareness and support.
That was 10 years ago.
On Saturday, June 9th Evan will once again lead the way through the scenic roads of West Niagara on the 10th annual Evan’s Ride for Autism. Evans’s Ride is a fun, family-oriented event which attracts riders from across Niagara to raise funds to support individuals and families living with Autism Spectrum Disorders. To date, Evan’s Ride has raised over $100,000 and has been a catalyst for the development of many support programs in the Niagara Region including the first anxiety management program for children with autism.
Evan’s story reminds us what can happen when we work together to make a difference. Join us in making Evan's Ride 2018 a success by registering to ride or making a donation.
PLEASE NOTE: All riders must wear a helmet.
