School Bus Transportation is part of the Bruce Awad Summer Program to gain access and inclusion in community activities and important summer experiences. Additionally, it's important skill set to maintain, consistent exposure to school bus transportation builds and reinforces riding skills and safety awareness. An nine-week gap (i.e. summer vacation) can really hinder individual progress and confidence. Regular practice and experience not only enhances their independence but also ensures they are better prepared when returning to the regular school bus routine. Moreover, utilizing school buses is a practical way to facilitate access to inclusive activities, like swimming, bowling, mini putt and more which are vital for social inclusion, community engagement and personal growth.
