I found my favourite things to do twenty years ago at Long Point, Ontario. Since then watching birds has brought me many precious experiences. I have enjoyed learning about nature, meeting lots of friends, and thinking about how I like to live. For the last couple of years I started joining the birdathon to support Bird Studies Canada and the Pelee Island Bird Observatory (PIBO) which I work for. I have been counting and banding migratory birds at Fish Point with my partner for the last ten years, which is 177 mornings a year.  Unfortunately, I haven’t had much time to go to other places in Canada for bird watching. So there are many birds I still haven’t seen! But I’ve started having more confidence to recognize many different calls, flights, and silhouette of birds after ten years. Now I am very happy to do my birdathon on my home ground, Pelee Island, to support Bird Studies Canada, PIBO and birds on Pelee. Thank you very much for your support!
