About BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF WETASKIWIN SOCIETY
The Boys and Girls Club of Wetaskiwin was established in 1988 as a society along with Big Brothers/Big sisters as a much-needed affordable community based service for children, youth and families in the City of Wetaskiwin and area. Sharing the same facility, the Wetaskiwin Youth Centre, the Boys and Girls Club of Wetaskiwin are members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. Under the direction of our own volunteer Board of Directors we are responsible for all our own fundraising but follow the guidelines for program and service delivery set out by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. The Club programs focus on four key areas essential to healthy child development: Physical Activity, Health and Safety; Leadership, Growth and Empowerment; Learning and Career Development; Community Service
