Donations to Broadmead Care Society supports those who call Broadmead Care home by helping provide a familiar, comfortable, caring environment that feels like home – their home. 

Gifts ensure the most critical needs are met. This includes the purchase of  specialty equipment like overhead lifts, call bells and fall mats, programs such as Creative Arts, Music Therapy and Spiritual Care, as well as important home renovation projects. These are all things not fully covered by government funding.

Broadmead Care is a dynamic and growing non-profit organization that has been caring for veterans and seniors since the 1970s.  Its purpose is to build communities where every person can experience wellbeing and happiness.  Broadmead Care has built a reputation as an innovative health care provider that provides high-quality residential care and community-based services, and is a trusted business partner and excellent employer.

With five residential care homes in Victoria, Saanich and Sidney, Broadmead Care provides a range of health and social services for veterans, seniors and adults with disabilities in their respective communities.  These services also include Adult Day Programs that support seniors to continue living safely in their homes. 

Broadmead Care is the primary provider of residential care and day programs for veterans on Vancouver Island.

Broadmead Care owns and operates:

Beckley Farm Lodge - a 65-bed residential care home in James Bay with an outreach program and one respite care bed. 

Nigel Program for Adults with Disabilities - a residential program for 40 adults with disabilities between the ages of 19 and 55 living at Nigel and Harriet House.

Rest Haven Lodge - a 73-bed residential care home in Sidney.

Veterans Health Centre - the only centre in Greater Victoria that provides health, social and recreational services for WWII veterans living in the community; and

The Veterans Memorial Lodge - a 229-bed residential care facility with 115 Priority Access Beds for veterans, 110 community beds and four respite care beds for veterans.
