The Burlington Museum Foundation (BMF) has kicked off its 2019 Past Mayors’ of Burlington Campaign to help reach the community’s $2.5-million fundraising target.
Walter Mulkewich, Rob MacIsaac, Rick Goldring, Cam Jackson and Mary Munro are joining forces with The Burlington Museums Foundation Board to encourage the community and Burlington residents to get behind this project and raise $100,000 towards the remaining $400,000 goal.
Your contribution will stimulate minds, preserve Burlington's heritage and attract tourism to boost our local economy. The expansion will include four halls to showcase special blockbuster exhibits, two multi-purpose rooms, a lobby, shop, resource centre and storage for more than 25,000 historical treasures.
This project is moving forward on time and on budget with the city expected to take occupancy August 2019. John Doyle, BMF Board Chair said he believes the launch of the Mayors’ Campaign will help the Museums Foundation reach its fundraising goal by the end of September 2019.
The Burlington Museums Board is grateful for the commitment of past city mayors and our Burlington community to date. We are now looking to the community to contribute to this project and help us reach our goal.
