Calgary Cares - Continuing with a Back to School - Backpack for Indigenous Students Campaign
A COVID-19 Fall Relief Campaign
THANK YOU for the compassion and generous support of everyone who participated in the Calgary Cares Box campaign. This was part of the COVID-19 Relief support during May and June, culminating on June 17th with 300 Calgary Cares Boxes going out to Calgary's families supported by the Calgary Police Youth Foundation funded programs.
As the Provincial phase 2 re-launch gets underway the return to school is fast approaching and with it a new worry about how to fund those essential school supplies. We know the impact of COVID-19 remains far reaching and long lasting and with this campaign our goal is to provide 300 fully loaded backpacks suitable for students from K-12. A month's supply of healthy school snacks will also be provided. The backpacks and healthy snacks will be proved to Indigenous students attending schools in Calgary.
Your support today can help Calgary students start school this Fall with everything they need to start the new school term equipped for success.
Donate today - this small act of kindness will have a huge impact and those receiving a backpack will remember Fall 2020 not for COVID-19 but for knowing Calgary Cares.
