Team Callanish Kluane Chilkat International Relay
Team Callanish Cycling Team was founded in 2013, inspired by two young adults, both with Stage IV cancer, Rima Andre and Philip Lee. When they learned that all the funds needed to run Callanish ($450K/year) has to be raised, (no government funding), they created a team of 32 cyclists to train and complete the Vancouver to Whistler Gran Fondo. The symbolism of climbing mountains was not lost on us, knowing what enormous mountains our people with cancer climb every day!
On June 15, 2019, 26 Team Callanish cyclists will ride 240 kms in the Kluane Chilkat International Relay https://kcibr.org/ from Haines Junction, Yukon to Haines, Alaska. The team is comprised of past retreat participants, staff and Board Members, all of whom are generously donating their time, energy, travel and accommodation expenses to support this fundraiser. Not to mention their adventurous spirits!
Please consider making a donation to support our Team, or forward this to others who might consider supporting the team. Thank you very much for donating to our precious organization so that we can continue to be able to provide our healing retreats and support for families living with cancer for many years to come. This work is a great privilege.
PLEASE DONATE GENEROUSLY AS YOUR DONATION WILL BE MATCHED BY THE KITTY HELLER MEMORIAL TRUST (up to $50,000).
