In two years, Camp Aftermath has run two iterations of our one year, three-phase program for veterans and first responders living with PTSD and/or Operational Stress Injury (OSI). Roto 1 in February 2019 had five participants while Roto 2 in March 2020 had four participants.
Help us fund positions for Roto 3, which will be taking place in March 2021! We are hoping that Roto 3 will be our first female cohort.
The Camp Aftermath program is focused on providing participants with a renewed sense of purpose by shifting their focus away from their own distress by realizing their potential to give back. They accomplish this by helping others and taking part in something that is bigger than themselves. This enables healing by providing them with positive psychological anchors achieved through their volunteer activities. Throughout this program, participants also engage in proven therapeutic activities such as meditation, yoga, group therapy, and working with the environment and animals in order to develop new positive habits.
Donate today to help veterans and first responders living with PTSD or OSI.
