At CanIL, we are serious about bringing literacy to every unwritten language community on the face of the earth. We do that not only by equipping our graduates linguistically but also helping them graduate with little or no debt. Financial aid is distributed directly to qualifying students to assist them with tuition and other expenses while in a CanIL study program.
Many agencies, including Wycliffe Bible Translators and SIL International, only allow applicants to join and commence a field assignment once they have eliminated their debt load, or reduced it to a minimal amount. With the help of our scholarships, bursaries and awards, CanIL students are able to keep their debt low, which in turn allows them to begin impacting minority language communities sooner.
With your donation of $101, or $250, or more, you are partnering "page by page" with emerging language surveyors, literacy specialists, translators and trainers to bring the gift of literacy and ultimately the Bible, God's Word, in a heart language to people who need the hope and light of the Gospel.
CanIL does not withhold any assessment or fee on your donation. It goes directly to students training to serve in literacy work and global Bible translation.
