Vibrant colors, lights, treats, giggles and delectable foods on the table bring the feeling of fulfillment and delight. Ask anyone what is their favourite thing about Christmas and the chances are they’ll tell you it is food. The sad truth though is that many poor families will go without food this Christmas day. Have you ever slept hungry and felt worthless on the day when the world out there is partying? Unfortunately, the post pandemic inflation crisis has pushed the unemployed, daily wagers and low paid workers further down the poverty line, making their lives worse. The inability to maintain the festive expectation, as basic as good food on the table exacerbates the feelings of anxiety, depression and worthlessness. Often the ones that suffer most are the children. CAPC in collaboration with its local partner is inviting you to join ‘Hope Not Hunger’ this Christmas to provide food packages to the poor Christian families and coats for children living in the slums of Islamabad. Together we can reach out to inspire hope for the underprivileged by sharing and spreading the real joy of this festive season.
