There is a particularly strong relationship between food insecurity and poor mental health. The risk of youth experiencing depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, or suicidal thoughts increases with the severity of food insecurity.
Every day, young people facing housing and food insecurity seek services at CMHA-operated Foundry Kelowna. Together we can make sure youth have the support and resources they need to thrive.
This symbolic gift will provide a care package, grocery card or food hamper for youth facing food insecurity.
