Do you ever wish you could volunteer, but your schedule won't allow it? Why not sponsor a volunteer instead?
The Canadian Skin Cancer provides volunteer opportunities for University and College students. Each volunteer will receive training and ongoing support to become a Sun Safety Ambassador.
Sun Safety Ambassadors will travel to elementary schools within their city to deliver educational presentations about Skin Cancer and Sun Safety to grades 5 & 6 students.
Our ideal Sun Safety Ambassadors will help raise awareness about skin cancer and provide grade students with the tools they need to stay safe in the sun.
Ambassadors will be required to do a minimum of 4 presentations, but will have the opportunity to continue delivering presentations until the end of the school year.
By supporting this cause, you will provide students in Education and Health related fields relevant experience to enhance their knowledge and experience in the real world. At the end of the program, each volunteer will receive a letter of reference that they can use for their resume, or to apply to scholarships and academic applications.
