Campaign Goal: To Supply a smartboard, projector and software to support a Grade 8 class and improve education at The Sri Narayani Vidyalaya School, Thirumaikodi, Tamil Nadu, South India.
Campaign Benefit: This equipment allows Canadians Sharing to improve educational efficiency and outcomes by donating a smart board, projector, operating hardware and software in an environment where 45%-65% of the children are first generation learners from socially and economically disadvantaged families.
Smart boards are revolutionizing education across the world and particularly at The Sri Narayani Vidyalaya School in South India. To date we have donated 5 projectors, screens, software and hardware that allows more teachers to present real time graphics to students. Teachers can also save and update their teaching materials for use with another class or another class year. Lets add another one!
In South India we've partnered with an Indian charitable non-government organization called the Sri Sakthi Amma Health Care Trust which operates The Sri Narayani Vidyalaya School. We provide materials and educational aids to the school to assist underprivileged jk, primary and secondary school students obtain a better education. The School provides an exceptional quality educational experience for the primarily local agricultural community. Approximately 45% - 65% of the students in the Sri Narayani Vidyalaya School are first generation learners, mainly accepted from socially or economically disadvantaged families.
Educational materials and equipment donated by Canadians Sharing provides students with tools to share their newly enhanced knowledge with their family, village and community, which creates progressive social change at a grass roots community level.
Our support is guided by the requirements and recommendations of the students, teachers and Principals. Educational Supplies and Equipment includes books, overhead projectors, computers, software, smart boards and equipment that help to improve the quality of education and the learning experience for students.
