Help us replenish our Family Literacy Program lending library for newcomers.
The CCS Family Literacy Program offers a lending library with a variety of specialized resources tailored to the language level of our adult learners and their children to support language learning at home. Many of the resources have to be replaced and our collection needs to be expanded to enable us to provide newcomer families with a wider selection of age-appropriate resources they can borrow.
Your donation will enable us to replenish our library and to meet the needs of our growing community of newcomers. CCS appreciates the generosity of all our donors.
About our Family Literacy Program: The Program assists newcomer families develop positive habits around learning language together at home from their earliest days in Canada by delivering group literacy building sessions, parent education workshops, an annual March Break Camp for school-aged children, and connecting families with community resources. A key component of the Program is the lending library.
