We invite you to join with us for the 3rd Annual Chocoholic 5km Frolic, Hop for Hope Fundraiser, hosted by the Central Okanagan Elizabeth Fry Society on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 10am-2pm at the Mission Creek Regional Park, 2363 Springfield Road.
We are very excited to be joined by community partners to help us reach our fundraising goal of $5000.00. This money will directly impact some of our critical core services and education programs, including: Girls United, Tough Guise, and our trauma counseling programs. These programs directly impact the lives of those most vulnerable in our community – individuals affected by sexual abuse, exploitation, or violence in our very own neighborhoods.
Last year alone we served 3,570 clients and had 17,302 inquiries come through our agency. Rising client demand has not always been matched by rising funding, thus clients are placed on waitlists for trauma counseling, therapy, and our prevention programs. All of our programs are running at full capacity.
Chocoholic 5k Frolic is a fun-filled family event that will feature stations of chocolate along the route. Families are welcome to run, walk, or bike together, building community while refueling with some delicious chocolate bites.
Most importantly, your contribution will be investing in moving women and children beyond the crisis and toward long-term safety, healing, security, and hope. We at the Central Okanagan Elizabeth Fry Society extend our true and heartfelt gratitude for your consideration of supporting our upcoming Chocoholic Hop for Hope fundraiser.
