Community Care, St. Catharines & Thorold has been meeting the needs of the less advantaged in our community since 1919. Programs range from food and shelter security to emergency services and support that lead to the independence clients strive to achieve. Our organization prides itself in helping the less fortunate in our community with meeting their basic needs, and nothing is more essential than having food on one’s plate.
Community Care assists approximately 1,850 individuals a month, 40% of them being children. We provide approximately 4,000 pounds of food daily to our clients, 5 days a week. We try to offer variety in the food we can provide and look to Canada's Food Guide as a template where possible. Help keep our food bank shelves stocked and end hunger in our community enriching the lives of many - one meal, one person at a time.
