There is a lot happening in the world right now, it’s easy to feel lost and overwhelmed. We all get lost from the path, let Compass guide you back to safety! Our specially trained volunteers provide emotional support through empathetic and active listening when you may feel stressed, overwhelmed, lonely, or hopeless. Our service is confidential and free to all residents. Over 2500 calls per month vary from suicidal ideation to issues of abuse. 100+ volunteers staff the lines seven days a week!

This service has grown since Compass acquired the program in 2020 from a few hundred calls a month and very few volunteers to the service/capacity it is today. Primary care, acute care and other non-profit mental health organizations refer to this service -daily. It has saved over $1M alone to the health care system and countless lives.

This is where your support comes in! The United Way Guelph Wellington Dufferin supports this program to the best of their ability and for the service to operate 7 days/week and 14 hours a day the funding required is much greater than they are able to support. We are grateful for every dollar donated and know that there is only 1 full time employee and Compass's administration is less that 12%...thank you for all do!
