The COVID-19 pandemic continues to put strains on families in need within the Burlington and surrounding areas. The volunteers and staff at Compassion Society of Halton are working tirelessly to ensure that our clients and those in need receive vital food support during these unprecedented times.
This has involved making several changes to our normal service delivery model, given the significant reduction in our food donations, which we heavily depend on, and Public Health physical distancing guidelines that impact food distribution processes to our clients.
As we strive to maintain our levels of client service as best as possible, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in large, unexpected costs for our charity.
In the face of continued demand for our services, we are launching this COVID-19 Pandemic Response Fund to ensure that we can continue to help those most vulnerable within our community.
100% of funds collected under this campaign are being used to support those in need during the pandemic, through purchases of bulk food and personal hygiene items for our clients.
