Supporting the CF Community During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Campaign Ends Oct. 30, 2020

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is the most common fatal genetic disease affecting over 4,370 Canadian children and young adults. CF has various effects on the body, and it mainly affects the lungs and digestive system. Among other complications, people living with CF often experience progressive lung disease due to chronic infections, and have difficulties digesting fats and proteins from the food that they eat.

There are treatments and medications available that can help ease the symptoms of the disease, but there is no cure. Often times, getting access to these life-changing medications is very difficult.

Too many people still die too young from this devastating disease, but you can help make a difference.

Thanks to kind-hearted and generous people, like you, Cystic Fibrosis Canada funds world-class research, high-quality CF care, and advocates for better access to critical medications for people living with CF.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, people living with cystic fibrosis are taking extra precautions to protect themselves, as they are vulnerable to respiratory illnesses, like corona-virus. Your support is needed more than ever so we can continue to provide the support they need through this scary and stressful time.

  • We are fighting for better access to medications to give people living with CF a better chance of beating COVID-19 and other illnesses.
  • We are providing 1:1 support through our CF information & referral service and sharing daily updates of needed health and social support information online.
  • We are running our clinical trials network to ensure people have access to new medications
