-Each year we hold a Grant Lowery Lecture on crucial youth-related issues involving children’s rights. The voices of young people are an important part of the lecture series.
- DCI-Canada regularly presents the Les Horne Rights in Action Award to a young person or group of young people for a project that will further the rights of children.
-We have touched the lives of dozens of refugee children and families in Canada and have advocated for these children to have their own individual rights respected.
- DCI-Canada has provided advice and information to governments, media and the public across Canada on individual and systemic issues involving children’s rights.
-We have partnered with international agencies in Africa on CIDA sponsored projects supporting the rights of young people particularly girls.
