In the rural Ghana village of Dekpor, there is not a health care system that can deal with an outbreak. There is no support from any other agency--we're it.
As a very small, volunteer-run charity, we are doing our best to prevent cases of COVID-19.
We are purchasing supplies to build tippy tap hand-washing stations including soap, containers, rope, and bleach and desperately need your financial assistance.
A local resident with a karaoke machine is making announcements to inform the residents to practice physical distancing, proper hand-washing techniques, and other vital information.
We are doing our very best in an extremely challenging situation. We are 2 Canadian teachers--1 living in Ontario, the other now in Dekpor, Ghana--trying to help more than 8,000 people. We are volunteers who have accomplished incredible achievements over the years, but this pandemic is a serious threat to the well-being of the beautiful people of Dekpor, and we need your support.
We are so grateful for a donation of any amount!
