To increase throughout Canada and the world, interest in and a critical understanding of the Cold War, by preserving the Diefenbunker as a National Historic Site, and operating a Cold War Museum.
About DIEFENBUNKER, CANADA'S COLD WAR MUSEUM MUSEE CANADIEN DE
The Diefenbunker: Canada’s Cold War Museum is a federally chartered non-profit institution with charitable status. In June 1998, it received both its charter and a plaque marking it as a national historic site of Canada. The museum sees over 30,000 visitors annually through guided tours of the 100,000 sq ft bunker and has an extensive archive and library.
