Manitoba Ice Dragon Boat Festival
DRAGON BOATS ON ICE?
The Dream Factory is proud to partner with the Manitoba Paddling Association to host one of this winter's most unique events: the Ice Dragon Boat Festival! We know that dragon boating is one of Winnipeg's most popular summer events, so we are thrilled to unleash our "ice dragons" on the frozen river this February!
Get your team of 10 together and get ready for a day full of great winter fun and dragon boat racing like no other. Whether you are a long-time dragon boater or have never paddled before - this winter race is guaranteed to be a one-of-a-kind experience.
RACE FOR A DREAM
Participating teams are encouraged to raise funds from their friends, family and social networks to support The Dream Factory - a local organization that brings dreams to life for Manitoba kids battling life-threatening illnesses. The Dream Factory focuses on making dreams come true for kids in our community who need a much-deserved break from the adult reality of their illness.
Funds raised from the Ice Dragon Boat Festival will help support kids like Preston. Preston is a 4-year old boy bravely battling kidney cancer. Preston's dream is to celebrate his 5th birthday while experiencing the magic of Disney, and with your help we can bring that dream to life. Thanks to the support of our Ice Dragon Boat participants, Preston will get to leave his illness behind for an entire week and focus on just being a kid.
Thank you for enabling us to continue to bring dreams like Preston's to life!
