“Stride with Pride” is a walking fundraiser hosted by Durham Alliance Outreach (DAO), aimed at raising $10,000.00 to support our essential services for the 2SLGBTQI+ community in Durham Region. From September 15, 2024, to October 31, 2024, participants across the region (and beyond) are invited to pledge their steps, share their progress, and fundraise to make a meaningful impact. As a participant, you will commit to walking a certain distance over the course of the event, track your progress, and share your journey with our community. This fundraiser operates on an honor system—every step you take, whether it’s around your neighborhood, in a park, or on a treadmill, helps us continue providing vital support to those who need it most. Your participation and the funds you raise will directly contribute to DAO’s programs, including the DAO Pantry, community kitchen projects, and educational initiatives that empower and support the 2SLGBTQI+ community.
