Dundas Valley School of Art (DVSA) recognizes the importance of art as a key element for a healthy community. We believe education in the arts is essential to an individual’s intellectual, social, physical, and emotional growth. Art is used to empower people and offer them a positive outlook towards life as well as the opportunity to build healthy ways of living. Therefore, as a leading community art school, DVSA would like to continue to offer art accessibility outreach programs in order to support our community with visual art opportunities. The school would like to ensure that individuals, who may otherwise be excluded from visual art experiences, have the option to participate by offering the following free initiatives: Foster the Ability, The Artists’ Connection, Nurture the Ability, Community Art Experience Program, Aging Artfully Outreach Program and Family Art Days. Our goal is to play an essential role in supporting a balanced and healthy community by offering art experiences to the entire community. Partners: Children's Aid Society of Hamilton, Catholic Children's Aid Society of Hamilton and both school boards.
