WALK WITH US
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year we have transformed our annual fundraising Walk for Life into a virtual event called "Walk for Hope" that anyone, anywhere can participate in. You can sign up for one, two or all of the physical challenges, creative challenges or contests. Walk in your backyard, walk by tie-dying t-shirts, walk on your street or community park (if safe), draw with chalk in your front street and step forward with us! Are you up for the challenge? Join us as we foster health, safety HOPE and fun.
YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
Whether YOU are familiar with the Pregnancy Care Centres (PCC) of Edmonton and Barrhead and have supported our work in the Edmonton and Barrhead communities, or are just getting to know us, WALK FOR HOPE has something for you. Our virtual event is a joined effort of two Centres that want to make a difference for individuals and families in their communities during a time of change and uncertainty.
Uncertainty is well understood at the PCC. Uncertainty is a common thread in many of our clients' stories. Covid-19 has created so much uncertainty but there is HOPE we will come through it together.
We are a Christian organization that serves women, men, and the families of Edmonton and Barrhead by offering companionship through an unexpected pregnancy, parenting, and post-abortion care. Through loving connection, we want our clients to know they are NEVER ALONE and are supported. We have walked side by side with our clients for many years, and we need YOUR SUPPORT to be there for them now and in the days to come.
HOW DO YOU PARTICIPATE /REGISTER & START WALKING:

You can register as an INDIVIDUAL! It is super simple to sign up for our Walk for Hope Challenge! Just create your individual fundraising page to get started! You can click here to register!

2. HAVE FUN!
1. If you want to track your route map & distance on your phone, you can use a tracking app. If you have an iPhone or iPod touch The Apple Health app can track your walking and running distances. The Health app uses your iPhone's built-in motion sensors to track your walk or run. You can also sign up and download other free apps. These are some that are helpful to establish routes: MapYourRun, Nike Run Club, Strava & MapMyWalk (for iOS or Android)
2. Show us you are having fun: Share on your fundraiser page if you decide to sidewalk chalk words of encouragements at the site of your challenges, take photos while drawing, videos of your adventures, share scriptures, jokes, or disaster moments while running or baking. We all need to smile!
3. MIX IT UP
We have created 3 kinds of challenges: Physical Strength, Distance, and Creativity Challenges. All you need to do is select your favorite challenges, (you do not need to do all of them and you can do only creativity challenges and still finish the walk!). See our carousel pictures below for details! To start the virtual walk you will need to complete 4 challenges. To complete the walk you will need to get to 10K (15 challenges, $1500 raised funds) just as you would do if you were walking in our Annual Walk in Rundle Park, Edmonton.
