The Etobicoke Humane Society want to do their part by building cozy outdoor enclosures for the feral cats in Etobicoke and the GTA.  Our goal this year is to build a minimum of 50 enclosures and place them in areas where there are feral cats to help them ward off the elements of our Toronto winters.

We are looking for the following items to help us with the project:

  • Styrofoam coolers with lids or styrofoam sheets
  • 18 gal / 64 L rubbermaid totes with lids
  • Straw (cannot be hay as that becomes mouldy)

Any donations of these items would be appreciated.  If you would like to make a financial donation, you can do so through Canada Helps and specify it is for Project Warmth.

If you know of any areas where there are cat colonies that could benefit from these enclosures, please email:

Thank you for your continued support and helping us bring some warmth to the feral community.
