Hike for Hospice; A Walk to Remember 2018
A Walk to Remember raises funds to provide support services to people in our community who are dealing with the impact of a life-threatening illness or death.
Residents of Thornhill, Markham and Whitchurch-Stouffville walk to honour the memory of someone special and in support of Evergreen.
A 1 km or 4 km walk along the Rouge River in Unionville. Beginning at Amica at Unionville, (34 Main St., Unionville) with registration, memorial ceremony, dove release and warm up session. Coffee and lunch are provided.
Date: Sunday, May 6th, 2018
- Registration begins at 11:00 am
- The walk starts at noon sharp
A presentation, dove release, memorial ceremony and warm up session will kick off the walk. Coffee and lunch are provided to the walkers and volunteers.
Prizes are available via raffle draw, with each walker receiving one ticket for every $10 raised. Over 30 prizes are usually awarded.
This year we are waiving our registration fee, but walkers are still expected to collect a minimum of $50 in donations.
