At Families First Society parents and children are provided opportunities to reduce isolation and be involved in positive learning environments within any of our many early childhood, parent education and family support programs, as well as within opportunities that exist outside of the agency. From these connections come the resilient, confident and independent families that contribute to making Fort Saskatchewan a wonderful place to raise families now and in the future. Barriers to attending programs can be plentiful for families at times. We have put measures in place to minimize those barriers so families can focus on getting the supports they need. These measures include: all programs and supports are provided free of charge; childcare is provided at parent workshops and support groups so childcare is not an issue; meals are prepared and served at the evening programs to ensure time limitations and meal times are not compromised; transportation is provided when necessary; healthy snacks or meals are provided to all participants at each program.
