This project is to enhance the nature experience of visitors to this viewing deck on the Tay River...especially for residents at Lanark Lodge and Perth Community Care Centre who might not normally be able to have extended walks through a natural scenic environment. Adding to the newly expanded wheelchair accessible pathway to the deck, the Friends of the Tay Watershed's interpretive panel will tell visitors what birds they may hear, the trees and wildflowers they have seen along the pathway, and the fish and wildlife in and around the Tay.
We are pleased to report that since launching this campaign in October, we have received $2900 in grants from the Perth and District Community Foundation and the Rideau Valley Rural Clean Water Program in support of this project. This leaves us $500.00 short of our budgeted costs.
Join with The Lanark Lodge Council of Family and Friends, the Municipal Trails Corporation and the Friends of the Tay Watershed with your donation to this worthwhile community project.
Thank you for your support.
