About the Musical Walkalong for Learning Event

This year, the Walkalong will be focused on the mid-island Millard Learning Centre, giving visitors and islanders a chance to fully explore an undisturbed coastline in the Salish Sea, our forest ridge trails, an indigenous medicine garden, our forest garden with nature interpreters covering topics from birds, forest restoration, traditional plants to growing a successful hugellultur garden. You can see our solar demonstration project under construction, our new office site and our off-grid schoolhouse. After the walk, there will be free hand-cranked homemade ice cream, a silent auction of some of Galiano's exquisite artists and Martine Paulin's delicious savories and sweets for sale, as well as refreshing teas and drinks; and a fabulous musical jam featuring all the musicians who have played along the trails for you. Bring your family and invite your friends!

Join us on September 1 for this magical event that starts at 1 pm. Registration is by donation with tax receipts for gifts of $25 or more. To register go to our events pages and sign up today: 6th Annual Musical Walkalong For Learning Event Page.
